Flash-back on the confinement. March 16, 2020. Suddenly all activities stop.
A few days before I was organizing filming and upcoming trips (USA, Portugal). And there, borders closed, travel abroad is impossible. Same in France. Even around your home, it is limited.
No information on the duration of this stop. All my plans suddenly crumble.
For a director and film producer, this clearly means the end of contracts and no income.
March 17, I wake up at 5 a.m., as usual.
But this is different. I feel different. Stunned. And serene at the same time. 7:30 a.m. I film the rising sun. Sublime orange light and everything is strangely calm. I only hear roosters and birds, no car noises. I breathe the fresh air. And there, I feel an intense fullness that invades me with a new energy.
Since I can no longer move, I can edit my films on hold. I continue to finalize "L'ESPRIT du CADRE". And I decide to finish the first two episodes of what will become MASTERS:AN ENIGMA. They are already well advanced, but there is no credits or music. And they have to be translated into English.
I watch my rushes. And I'm thinking of Bettina (Drummond) and Hélène (ARIANOFF). For her too, everything stops. No more internship. No more travel. I chat with Alex, my husband. What if it was an opportunity to launch online masterclasses to allow them to continue to transmit? I call Bettina. She loves the idea and suggests starting with Hélène. I call Helen. She finds it great. She is apprehensive because she is not comfortable with the computer and live broadcasting. I reassure her. This is a first for me too.
And here we go in the organization of the first WeBinaRt !
